It’s a true honor for Basqueland to receive this yeast from Josef Lechner, Master Brewer at Schneider, to create this Baskenweisse, a collaborative beer that merges Bavarian brewing tradition with modernity.
Building upon the original Weissbier recipe, we’ve crafted a unique beer by incorporating oat and Eraclea barley malt alongside the typical wheat, imparting added smoothness and a more refreshing profile. With its hazy, pale appearance, this beer showcases the flavors and aromas resulting from the interaction of traditional yeast and modern Citra hops, offering hints of banana and clove, accompanied by a pleasantly surprising bitter citrus profile and a subtle tropical touch.
