A journey through the woods
Kentucky Grand Cru is a barrel-aged Imperial Stout aged in bourbon and French oak barrels for 12 to 14 months and conditioned with lightly toasted coconut. We meticulously chose each barrel to guarantee that its flavor would complement the later added coconut.
With its intense black color and beige foam, the beer emanates a notable character of bourbon and wood accompanied by notes of coconut, vanilla, molasses, syrup, and dark chocolate.
The drink is intense and complex due to the addition of caramel malts that are perfectly integrated with the coconut to obtain a long finish with lasting flavors of cocoa, coconut, sugar cane, fig, and lingering licorice.
