Basajaun

This year we’re celebrating 11 years with Basajaun, our 11th anniversary beer.

The name comes from one of the great figures of Basque mythology: Basajaun, lord of the forests and protector of nature and everything that lives within it.

We’ve poured all our brewing know-how into this recipe.

The base combines Heidelberg, oat and Chit malts with oat flakes. We added Krush and Mosaic in the whirlpool, together with Saturated yeast to push the hop expression even further.

Then comes the dry hop, with Mosaic, Nectaron Cryo, Krush Cryo and Mosaic Hyperboost, taking the beer up to a hefty 25 g/L of hops.

The result is big, juicy and seriously aromatic: mango, papaya and passion fruit, layered with ripe citrus and blueberries, plus a solid dank character running through all that fruit.

A beer to celebrate what we’ve done so far and, above all, everything we still have left to brew.
